Barry had over 12 years of experience working for leading health insurance carriers.    In the chapter prior to MBG, Barry gained a deep understanding and insight into how insurance companies operate and underwrite health plans as well as how our entire health care system operates and integrates. Armed with this insider knowledge and a passion for helping businesses succeed, Barry created a firm built on care, expertise, and results. MBG quickly established itself as an innovative, trusted advisor, and tenacious advocate for small to mid-sized businesses and their employees throughout Central Ohio. In 2024, the next chapter began as Barry’s son, Trevor, joined the family business. From a successful chapter in IT / data consulting account management, Trevor brings highly developed skills in customer needs-based planning, solution design, and results delivery. He began his career with 12 years on the carrier-side in leadership roles before launching MBG in 2003. He also spent two years consulting directly with top head and neck surgeons across a 10-state region, partnering with renowned institutions like the Mayo Clinic and Cleveland Clinic. During his career, Barry gained a deep understanding of how insurance companies operate, underwrite health plans, and integrate within the broader healthcare system. His insights were valued as an invited member of Physician Peer Review committees, Quality Assurance committees, and Plan Sponsor Grievance Committees. This insider knowledge, paired  with a genuine passion for caring for those he serves, inspired him to transition to the broker side.  MBG (now TBC) has a well-earned reputation as an innovative, trusted advisor and relentless advocate for small to mid-sized businesses and their employees across Central Ohio.
